The International Conference on Sustainable Urban and Regional Development – Research and Policy Challenges for the Asia-Pacific Rim will be held at Renmin University of China (Beijing, China), between the 8th and the 10th of December 2017, organised by the Renmin University of China, The Regional Science Academy and the Regional Science Association International.
This theme comprises various topics, such as (but not limited to):

Intelligent management of sustainable metropolitan areas
Climate change and threats to sustainability
Population dynamics, growth and urbanisation
Rural areas in isolation and poverty

Entrepreneurship as new roads
Infrastructure and sustainable spatial development
New analysis tools for sustainable urban management
Tourism-led regional growth
The role of agriculture in lagging areas
Migration-led economic development
The official languages of the conference are English and Chinese and the paper submission should be in English. There is no Conference fee.
Call for Extended Abstracts
Authors are invited to submit abstracts, relating to the conference theme or the various topics. The abstract should be written in English (in MS word or PDF format only).
All abstracts should be structured as follows:
Title: The title should be short, preferably less than 20 words.
Author(s): Provide contact details of authors, including names, surnames, organization/company, phone/fax no., e-mail and full postal address.
Abstract: Up to 300 words.
Keywords: Provide up to 5 keywords.
