During the Congress, The Regional Science Academy will promote a special academic meeting under the series “Signatures of Regional Science”. These two meetings are open for all participants of the ERSA Conference and aim to celebrate the scientific ambition of this international gathering.
During the evening of the 29thof August, The Regional Science Academy promotes an event in honour of Peter Nijkamp, Vice-President of ERSA, celebrating his 50thparticipation in a ERSA Congress. This event will be held on the boat Le Sirius, requiring previous registration, once the capacity is limited. The program (including free drinks & finger food) is online, including an interactive discussion on ideas that we should forget or neglect versus ideas we should cherish and apply in regional science. We expect more than 100 participants. The local organizers, Dominique Mignot, Louafi Bouzouina and Yvan Romero, ought to be thanked for their fantastic support, which makes this ERSA conference unbeaten in the rich history of regional science.
