Neil Reid is Professor of Geography and Planning and Director of the Jack Ford Urban Affairs Center at the University of Toledo. He is also the Executive Director of the North American Regional Science Council. Professor Reid holds M.A. degrees in Geography from the University of Glasgow and Miami University and a Ph.D. In Geography from Arizona State University.
His research interests lie in the area of local economic development, industrial location, and cluster-based economic development. His research has been funded by numerous agencies the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the Ohio Department of Development and his research has published in the leading journals in his field including the Annals of Regional Science, the Annals of the Association of American Geographers, and Economic Development Quarterly.
